Sarah Bradley
Production Stage Manager

A native of Kernersville, North Carolina, Sarah discovered theatre and her Life Path before ever leaving grade school. Class trips to music, dance, and dramatic performances were special treats she still remembers. During high school, she tagged along to Drama Club with her older brother. In college, she took a small detour through pre-law, but soon found herself gravitating back to the theatre crowd and taking theatre courses.

Her career was further defined when she was asked to be Stage Manager rather than being cast in the Drama Department's Main Stage shows. It was a perfect fit: Sarah had found her own special niche in the theatre.

She transferred to North Carolina School for the Arts (NCSA) to major in her chosen field and graduated in 1982 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Theatre Design and Production. While attending NCSA, she began work as an intern with the North Carolina Shakespeare Festival and by graduation had worked into the paid position of Assistant Production Stage Manager. Following graduation, she worked in everything from tours and dinner theatre to the well-known Folger Shakespeare Theatre in Washington, DC.

She acquired her Equity Card and landed her first professional stage management position at the famous Arena Stage in Washington, DC, one of the finest theatres in the country and the first theatre outside Broadway to receive a Tony Award. Among her favorite assignments were Guys and Dolls, The Crucible, Macbeth, Cocoanuts, and All the Kings Men.

In 1989, she moved to Los Angeles where she was the Stage Manager for the first staged production of Angels in America/Millennium Approaches at the prestigious Mark Taper Forum. The show subsequently went to Broadway where it won numerous Tony Awards.

In 1996, Sarah married Freddie Clark, a native of Mt. Pleasant, South Carolina. They now live on Wadmalaw Island.

A passionate, transplanted South Carolinian, Sarah looks forward to being able to resume her Life Path in the theatre and still be close to hearth and home.
