SOBTC Auditions

January 12 & 13, 2026 @ 5 - 7 PM*

Ages 9-17

Auditions will be held in order of on-site sign-in. You only need to attend ONE day. Each audition is about 10-15 mins. long. You will be asked to perform a "cold read" (sides will be provided) and sing a verse of Happy Birthday or your favorite song from a musical! (a capella - no accompaniment)

Audition location: 3346 Rivers Avenue, 1A, North Charleston, SC 29405
Performance Dates (6 performances!): April 25, 26 and May 2, 3
REHEARSALS start January 17 and are 10AM-3PM and every Saturday thereafter. (except Easter: 4/4)

Meet the Director: Shivam Patel

New to SOBTC, Shivam V. Patel earned his Master’s in Music Theatre from the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama in London and has performed across the East Coast and the UK. His credits include Disgraced, Septima (World Premiere), Clyde’s, Mlima’s Tale, Working, and many others. He currently serves as PURE's Director of Education and a Core Ensemble Member, leading workshops, camps, and coaching programs.

Just show up at 10 AM and you will meet Shivam! He will give you audition tips and tricks for the auditions the following week!
